Examinations are an indispensable part of educational process as some form of assessment is necessary to determine the effectiveness of teaching, learning process and its imbibition by learners.

Class LKG to II:

          Unit - I                April to July

          Unit - II               August to December

          Unit - III              January to March

EVALUATION

         The objective of evaluation at this stage will be a continuous and comprehensive assessment in the growth and development of a child in various areas of learning sets this curriculum. it aims measuring the attainment of the child continuously throughout the year.

The child's progress will be recorded in the following three ways :-

      1. Descriptive Journal or log-book

              Whereever a sign of development is noticed, it will be noted in the log-book along with dates.

      2. Check List :-

              A checklist of common development milestones will be maintained alongwith the date when a child achieves the same.

      3. Commulative Card :-

              This card willl give an idea about the progress of the child.

CLASS  III TO VIII

      As per DAV guidelines the entire session has been divided into two terms :-

Term - I (April to September)

     Periodic Test - I (May)             -          20 Marks

      Periodic Test - II (August)       -          20 Marks

      (Weightage of Periodic Test 1 & 2 will be of 10 marks)

     Subject Enrichment          -        5 Marks

     Notebook Maintenance     -         5 Marks

     September Exams           -        80 Marks

Term - II (October to March)

     Periodic Test - 3 (November)            -           20 Marks

      Periodic Test - 4 (December)            -           20 Marks

      (Weightage of Periodic Test 3 & 4 will be of 10 marks)

     Subject Enrichment                   -         5 Marks

     Notebook Maintenance              -         5 Marks

     Final Exams       

         III to VII                                 -         80 Marks

         VIII                                       -         80 Marks
