I remember the lines from one of
Alfred Tennyson's inspiring poem
-- "The old order changeth yielding place to new...and God fulfills himself in many ways..."
The order of things is indeed changing right before our very eyes during this Pandemic.
Let’s not miss the possibility it presents to us to be heroic, combative and be the drivers of change.
The community of teachers across the globe learnt almost simultaneously absolutely new ways of virtual teaching and connecting with students. It was a no options environment for all of us. We either reinvent or perish.
It was indeed a stimulating, incredible opportunity to change the education system in one clean sweep.
Our students and parents, and teachers, presumably groomed in old fashion ways, from conventional schools became adaptive to new tools, overhauled curriculum design and an unheard of virtual pedagogy and weathered the storm to ensure that our children continue to learn and grow.
When we will look back on today, we will know we were the generation of teachers that brought in this paradigm shift.
Cheer up and keep the optimism surging.
